dey its not mid end but mid range.and one more thing that card is pretty expensive for a mid range. i just read that the 8600 gt is a better value for money. but when it comes to performance 8600 gts clearly takes away the crown.it thrashes all the r600 series cards of ati and its perormance is comparable with that of a 2900xt.so i would sat it is the third fastest card in the planet(provided you have a good graphic chipset)
i have bad news da... All cards (8800, 8600, 2900, etc) have failed horribly in directx 10.1...!
