The world cup fever!!! The hype for it knew no bounds. The world cup started with India winning tremendously in the practice matches and all were good.Then came the ACID TEST as i would call that. The match against Bangladesh.India lost it and that is not bothering me at all.What is bothering me is the CRICKET FEVER!!!
The 'cricket fever' reached the ceiling and as a result of it is what you see in the picture.
"The YOUTHS of Ranchi destroy Dhoni's house,The house was given as a gift by the local govt for his excellency,Dhoni's effigy was also burned".
This is not WHAT-THEY-CALL patriotism or anger or love-of-cricket but it's complete insaneness.Cricket, it's after all a game.There will be defeat,there will be some inconsistencies.You will have the sadness when the little master is out.But violence is not the only solution.Another news which is also because of this is Bob Woolmer's death.Bob woolmer a former England batsmen and a coach of South Africa was found dead yesterday night by heart attack supposedly(till this minute). He vomited blood and there was blood from his nose.Woolmer after the devastating defeat against the Ireland was found dead in his room.This is definitely due the stress.As a coach for more than 10 years defeats are as easy as victories for him.This defeat against Ireland in World cup is also not different.
I am very sad and I wish his soul rest in piece.....so ppl join hands with me and lets pray for him...

I think by now, aravind, u wuld have got wind of the news that Bob woolmer was strangled to death and it was no natural death..
And as u say, people razing down houses, burning effigies and a few other actions are the tangible evidences of their foolhardiness...People(esp Indians) are real cracked up wen it comes to cricket...Not only cricket actually...They hail and glorify ppl, wen they are usually at the peak of their success..Infact Indians treat those successful ppl as demigods and build temples (literally !) for them..But wen the same successful people make a small mistake, that's abt it...The next time these ppl get spotted on the rd, they are done for...The same ppl who praised them will now pelt stones at them..Crazy ppl !! They'll never change..I am sure Sachin, Dravid and the others too will end up as vagrants after yesterday's match :P
Well said nithya! These ppl will never change! and one more info about Bob woolmer's death is that this murder is somehow related to Cronje's putative accident!!

indians always have a high sense of emotion...it has its own pros and cons....but these actions are uncalled for....they can vent thier anger in many other ways other than violence
