This post is dedicated to ENGLISH... sounds crazy huh? I learnt the definition of a definition, the definition of an extended definition (i dunno wat the hell is EXTENDED DEFINITION) and more about definitions in SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL ENGLISH FOR ENGINEERS-II (:P)...The next period was physics... My physics sir always speaks a lot... He was speaking about imagination... So somewhere in my head i got this idea of defining something... The first one is IMAGINATION (thanks to my physics sir and English)..
IMAGINATION: If you ask anybody "wat is imagination?" their immediate response would be "thinking an event or concept which has not yet occured". But thats not it.Imagination is an overstatement or exaggeration or build-up(:P)..
Take the normal alien movies.. We have seen aliens having a pair of hand or more in some cases, eyes, nose, mouth just like humans but the numbers differ.. The writer or the person who creates the character develops the alien BY EXAGGERATING HUMAN MORPHOLOGY...
Take the fiction novels... They develop their ideas around an object present at that time... My favorite game HALO develops around genetics, information technology of this age... The harry potter series... Everything...
The next definition is different. I purloined this one from a book which is not released yet (BOMB BEYOND AGES BY ARAVIND KUMAR :P)... This definition is about nature... here it goes..
NATURE:Somebody say nature is love.. some say nature=pulchritude.. some say nature is default... But the definition of nature is capricious... It changes from time to time.. What we call it as nature today is not natural some days before... We say nature is "the natural physical world including plants and animals and landscapes etc". But after some 100 years they will say "zoo is a natural place, please save nature!!". Or maybe a person installed with an I-POD in his spinal cord will become natural...!!!
Hope you had something to think on and comment some uncommon definitions that u have come across like U.T- Unwanted Test :P...

CRICKET HUFF!
The world cup fever!!! The hype for it knew no bounds. The world cup started with India winning tremendously in the practice matches and all were good. Then came the ACID TEST as i would call that. The match against Bangladesh.India lost it and that is not bothering me at all. What is bothering me is the CRICKET FEVER!!!
The 'cricket fever' reached the ceiling and as a result of it is what you see in the picture.
Another news which is also because of this is Bob Woolmer's death.Bob woolmer a former England batsmen and a coach of South Africa was found dead yesterday night by heart attack supposedly(till this minute). He vomited blood and there was blood from his nose.Woolmer after the devastating defeat against the Ireland was found dead in his room. This is definitely due the stress. As a coach for more than 10 years defeats are as easy as victories for him. This defeat against Ireland in World cup is also not different.
I am very sad and I wish his soul rest in piece.....so ppl join hands with me and lets pray for him...

Scorcher!!!
17th march 2007... What a scorcher... The summer season has just begun and i am feeling my head burn(no, not because of exams). Its been a kind of strangeeeeeee day... enigmatic rather...
I got up at eight this morning and found that i was already late for the Formula 1 qualifying day.I got a message from my 11 year old cousin that Gibbs hit 6 sixes in six balls. I missed it yesterday(Dont think of 666!!). I switched on the TV.I know that the "red baron" wont be driving the red car today, but when i was watching it (still in drowsiness) i was first surprised by the person in the car-"The ice man" . Then i got my senses back and had a hunch for a queer day.
Then it was going smooth until i saw the RED CAR again. It has 'for strange reasons' been broadened but the last season was good for ferrari though.Sometime later the commentator was feeling the same thing. The F1 session ended with alonso winning(i hate him!!!).
Then krishna called me and said Varun will be coming only by tomorrow. So our (me and bharat) plan was dropped. Krishna was also out by evening to watch "mozhi".My only hope for a good day was the match.
The match started with a 'nearly' out appeal. Then Sehwag went for one-digit score (which was the only non sporadic event of the day). Then came Uthappa and he bounced back into the pavilion in no time. The little master also staggered, fumbled and the ship never came back to position. The wall was battered! DADA the comeback prince of kolkata proved that he is a worth.
The 'SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS' didnt end there.Bharat detoured from his daily routine and was having his inner at 9.It was actually my dinner time. His dinner time is 8 and i had dinner today at 8 :O.The unfortunate thing is when bharat was eating there was a POWER-CUT(the worst thing to ever have). He also got chronic obstructive lung disease getting its peak today (its normal for us though :D).
Whe what a day. Its not a bad day though but definitely a bad start for the THREE-DAY reunion with my friends....

salute the chief
I am dedicating my second blog to my hero, my chief "The masterchief".. his original name is Master Chief Petty Officer SPARTAN 117-John or simply chief.Masterchief is a fictional character in the game series HALO.
I first played this FPS 3 years back. I completed it almost 50 times. I never got and never will get bored. For the first time when i played this game my audio driver was out and consequently i played it without sound. The next time when i played it with audio it was simply mind-blowing. I began to appreciate the game when i started to delve into it's awesome graphics, projectiles,A.I and architecture. Every nook and corner of the virtual space was filled with art. I have posted some of them for you.
The next thing which beguiled me into this game is it's awesome story line. You can read the full story at this following link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_game. The game has enough twists for you to see your back thrice! You think that the game is over and *hogus pogus* something happens and you play five more levels (other half of the game).
Having a "holographic smart artificial intelligence" cortana inside your head, you walk or fly around Halo fighting with the covenants and flood and eventually 'kabooming' halo! The explosion spits metal all over the space,Cortana says from within 'Halo... It's over!".
He replies "I think we are just getting started!"

Perfect Start!
Today is not only the perfect start for my blog but also the perfect start for my paper presentation. Today we had a paper presentation in our coll(yes!! you have paper presentations even in GCT).. Me and shiv were teaming up as usual. we had only 5 min (thats enough for our coll) for the presentation. So only one must present whilst the other must look after the PPT. Our topic was black holes. You MIGHT have thought that i am a expert in string theory, relativity and all that after reading my blog description but if you were in the presentation with me then this would not be the case. We did not prepare anything, not even the PPT(We fetched the PPT from ET and the hardcopy from my school friend :P).
It started off well for the first two slides (out of the 28!) bcoz it was the intro part. Then it was chaotic, sporadic, and whatever synonymous with tumult. It reached the climax when i asked shivram to skip over the slides, which had the epicenter of our papers "The properties of black holes". From then, there was no hope (for both of us). I sensed my presentation has turned soporific rather than inspiring. Even was shiv was not clear of what was going on! He was looking at me as though i was from ABYSS! It ended finally a shrieky voice said "time's up". For the FIRST time in my life my seminar went disastrous. Anyway it helped me learn the following three important morals..
MORAL 1: Look at your PPT atleast once before your presentation.
MORAL 2: Never borrow PPT's(If you did so, then don't forget to see it once).
MORAL 3: Be sincere in your work (you dont have to be sincere like bharat and nithya but to some extent)..
adios.
