NOSTALGIA!

This is our playground! (For those who are wondering, this is varun's house). The ground (small though :P) which allayed our thirst for cricket!12th holidays..... Nobody can bring them back!!
It's 6.00 in the morning... The sun rays coming into my room harbingers the good day of cricket to follow. I got up and moved to our playground at 7.00.. Me and bharat were there and it's time to arouse varun from his slumber! Then we called others and the first match started by 7.30.. It went on till 9 and the team dispersed after a gr8 session of cricket! The regular highlights of the game would be ET's SWEEP's...
The cricket session was followed by music and we reached home by noon... then 3 hours pass edby in the anticipation of the next session. I reached there again at 2.30,called others and it started again... It ended by 7.00 (If there's veda class then it will end at 5.00) .Then usually a game of MAFIA or SCOTLAND YARD follows...
ahhhhhhhhh!End of yet another beautiful summer day...These days continued for the whole vacation!
In the pic you could see my moto-scooter and shiva's discover... I have a marked it for you... Next to that stands our magnificent, elegant, gallant STUMP (It's a stool :P). The blue line is indicating 2 G (2 Granted)...
1. This is BHARAT's FAVOURITE POLE... Whenever he hits the ball it will hit this pole (1 in 10 times, considering the size of pole it's a high probable event yaar) leaving a ringing sound... The 'Energy' given by him for the ball to reach the fence for four will be completely tranformed into 'SOUND ENERGY'...
2.Here comes the famous fielder... 'poongothai'... yeah it's her name...Whenever you're team is more pathetic than Indian team (that's not gonna happen) you just cry "JAI POONGOTHAI" and she will help you!!!
3. This is my favourite spot for fielding!!! I like to it the stumps from here... It's very difficult because YOU DONT SEE THA STUMPS!!!! Inspite of that i have a good percentage in hitting the stumps(nearly 90%)....
Wherever i go, whatever i do, i will never forget these!!! The essence of LIFE!

CRICKET HUFF!

The world cup fever!!! The hype for it knew no bounds. The world cup started with India winning tremendously in the practice matches and all were good. Then came the ACID TEST as i would call that. The match against Bangladesh.India lost it and that is not bothering me at all. What is bothering me is the CRICKET FEVER!!!
The 'cricket fever' reached the ceiling and as a result of it is what you see in the picture.

"The YOUTHS of Ranchi destroy Dhoni's house,The house was given as a gift by the local govt for his excellency,Dhoni's effigy was also burned".
This is not WHAT-THEY-CALL patriotism or anger or love-of-cricket but it's complete insaneness.Cricket, it's after all a game. There will be defeat, there will be some inconsistencies. You will have the sadness when the little master is out.But violence is not the only solution.
Another news which is also because of this is Bob Woolmer's death.Bob woolmer a former England batsmen and a coach of South Africa was found dead yesterday night by heart attack supposedly(till this minute). He vomited blood and there was blood from his nose.Woolmer after the devastating defeat against the Ireland was found dead in his room. This is definitely due the stress. As a coach for more than 10 years defeats are as easy as victories for him. This defeat against Ireland in World cup is also not different.
I am very sad and I wish his soul rest in piece.....so ppl join hands with me and lets pray for him...

Scorcher!!!

17th march 2007... What a scorcher... The summer season has just begun and i am feeling my head burn(no, not because of exams). Its been a kind of strangeeeeeee day... enigmatic rather...
I got up at eight this morning and found that i was already late for the Formula 1 qualifying day.I got a message from my 11 year old cousin that Gibbs hit 6 sixes in six balls. I missed it yesterday(Dont think of 666!!). I switched on the TV.I know that the "red baron" wont be driving the red car today, but when i was watching it (still in drowsiness) i was first surprised by the person in the car-"The ice man" . Then i got my senses back and had a hunch for a queer day.
Then it was going smooth until i saw the RED CAR again. It has 'for strange reasons' been broadened but the last season was good for ferrari though.Sometime later the commentator was feeling the same thing. The F1 session ended with alonso winning(i hate him!!!).
Then krishna called me and said Varun will be coming only by tomorrow. So our (me and bharat) plan was dropped. Krishna was also out by evening to watch "mozhi".My only hope for a good day was the match.
The match started with a 'nearly' out appeal. Then Sehwag went for one-digit score (which was the only non sporadic event of the day). Then came Uthappa and he bounced back into the pavilion in no time. The little master also staggered, fumbled and the ship never came back to position. The wall was battered! DADA the comeback prince of kolkata proved that he is a worth.
The 'SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS' didnt end there.Bharat detoured from his daily routine and was having his inner at 9.It was actually my dinner time. His dinner time is 8 and i had dinner today at 8 :O.The unfortunate thing is when bharat was eating there was a POWER-CUT(the worst thing to ever have). He also got chronic obstructive lung disease getting its peak today (its normal for us though :D).
Whe what a day. Its not a bad day though but definitely a bad start for the THREE-DAY reunion with my friends....
